DAMAGE TO COURT 2

Morning all,

It has been brought to our attention that there has been siginficant marking to the flooring on court 2. This is due to a member not wearing correct footwear on court, i.e black soled trainers whilst playing. This is likely to have occured prior to Wednesday, if anyone has an idea of when this occured please can they let me know so that I can speak with the members to esnure they play in correct footwear.

The last time this occured I had to spend 2 weekends cleaning the courts, I am not paid for this and have to sacrfice my time to try and rectify these issues.

Not only is it an aesthetical issue, but also a safety issue. Markings on the courts can cause players to slip and could potentially lead to injuries or accidents.

If you see members playing with incorrect footwear, please contact me so that I can discuss with the members.

We are exploring some refurbishments for the courts and actions like these make the argument more challenging when our members damage the courts through negligence.

Andy
