*Important*- eye protection.

Good evening all,

There was a serious incident at the club on Tuesday where one of our members was accidentally hit in the eye by a squash ball.

Whilst eye protection is not mandatory for adults (although it is for under 19 year olds), it is strongly encouraged by England Squash and also by this club. The safety and wellbeing of our members is paramount and we, and England Squash recommend if you are looking for eye protection to search for British Standard BS7930.1 to ensure the quality.

Squash is a fast paced, fun sport, but we must recognise, that much like other sports, it does come with it's risks. Risks that can be reduced by wearing protection and also being aware of our opponents. Please be careful on the courts, please do not take unnecessary risks, we want to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our members.

As always, please do get in touch if you have any questions on guidance and we are happy to help.

Andy, Clare & Tamworth Squash Club.
